Dr. Karsten Wildberger

After completing his doctorate, between 1998 and 2003, Karsten Wildberger worked as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Düsseldorf, with a focus on advising companies in the energy and telecommunications sectors. In 2003, he transferred to T-Mobile, where he held various management positions in London and  Bonn, both in finance and sales. Between 2006 and 2011, he was a member of the Board of Management of Vodafone in Romania, first as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Commercial Officer. After returning to the Boston Consulting Group as a partner and managing director, in 2013, Karsten Wildberger became Member of the Management Board of the Australian telecommunications company Telstra, located in Melbourne, Australia. As Group Managing Director Telstra Consumer, he was responsible for private customer business and digital transformation. Most recently, until 2016, he was responsible for Telstra Retail, where he was in charge of private customer business and digital transformation as well as business customers and product development. During his time at Telstra, Karsten Wildberger also held supervisory board positions at the Telstra Foundation and Telstra Ventures Group.

Karsten Wildberger has been a member of the Board of Management of E.ON SE from 2016 to 2021. He was responsible for sales and customer solutions in regional units, distributed generation, energy management, marketing, digital innovation and transformation, and information technology. Since August 2021, Karsten Wildberger has been Chief Executive Officer and Labour Director at CECONOMY AG and Chief Executive Officer of Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH.
