Reiner Priggen

Reiner Priggen, born in 1953, studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen. He has been a member of the Green Party (Die Grünen) since 1984. Between 1994 and 2000, he was Spokesperson for the NRW State Chapter of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen.

From 2000 to 2017, he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. Between 2005 and 2008, he was Chair of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry investigating the impact of the strongly increased oil and gas prices on businesses and consumers. Reiner Priggen was party chair of the NRW State Parliament Green Party from 2010 to 2015.
